The Good Folks
The Good Folks is a Type Foundry that celebrates typography that’s genderless, unique and diverse. It not only highlights the different womxn designers who’ve created beautiful typefaces, but also the letterform itself. Alternative or experimental type denies the conventional framework of type and as more and more people no longer want to be ‘put in a box’ or have to define themselves as something specific, it’s vital that those sentiments of self expression flow in the field of typography too.
Today we see a movement setting out to redefine gender norms, thinking and styles. To channel that energy in design, and develop a more nuanced gender neutral type, it’ll require everyone across every spectrum to reorder the status quo.

We live in a world with a myriad of styles, perspectives and personal beliefs–why not bring that diversity through our letterforms as well? An increasingly diverse and inclusive world is changing design around us, for the better.
